The objectives of ICRT-WA are to ;                                                   

 

  • Offer programmes, courses, conferences and workshops on Responsible Tourism Development.

 

  • Contribute to policy discussions concerning responsible tourism at various levels of government and at national and international forums.

 

  • Apply for and use funds provided to the centre to assist Africans benefit from the centre's activities.

 

  • Offer learning experiences and training across a wide body of topics using, wherever possible, West African teachers and mentors

 

  • promote a cross-cultural learning model that relies on people coming together in groups,representing different countries, ethnic backgrounds and social norms so that their educational experience is as rich and varied as possible.

 

  • Regulate the centre's affairs to ensure that the centre is sustainable financially by raising revenue from its activities and by seeking funds from stakeholders and collaborators.

 

  • Ensure that proper accounts are kept and are regularly audited.

 

  • Support team members working as consultants on Responsible Tourism issues.

 

  • Account regularly to the centre’s Board.
